5. How did you end up in the Energy Industry?

After being 25 years in the automotive industry learning everything about engineering, manufacturing, quality and lean operations I was recruited into the Oil&Gas industry by FMC Technologies in Norway. Being in charge of Quality & Operational Excellence, initially in the Eastern Hemisphere, and later globally based at the headquarters in Houston I focused on the execution of customer requirements, the compliance to industry & quality standards, and cultural change management of the entire organization and supply chain towards a Zero Defect Culture.  

6. Why do you like working with Start-Ups?

I enjoy pushing myself and others on new ideas and outside the envelop thinking to develop myself and the organization to the next level. I uncovered a new side and skill set of me, and I enjoy to be independent, innovative, and hands on at the same time.
