5. How did you end up in the Energy Industry?

I was recruited by Shell Oil from the University of Washington as a Master of Marine Affairs graduate (MMA) 

6. Why do you like working with Start-Ups?

I view Start-Ups from a Customer Experience and Business advantage viewpoint.

7. What are three of your interests outside of work?

  • First priority is my wife Lynda and sons Jack and Joshua.

  • I play Ice Hockey twice per week.

  • I visit my Maine cabin for peace and off-the-grid time.

  • I created Shell Oil's first Marine Emergency Response Plan.

  • I managed Shell's successful, first global rollout of Shell's Contract Management System - 110 Countries, 2600 Users, $70B in supplier spend.

  • I built a cabin in Maine from the trees on our 25 acres - it still stands.
