5. How did you end up in the Energy Industry?

I graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree and was living in the middle of the Fens in East Anglia in England (middle of nowhere). A company in a small village called Littleport was hiring for an Inside Sales Engineer. This company built diving umbilicals, ROV cables and hydraulic umbilicals for the offshore industry. Thus started my 28 year career in oil and gas, traveling all over the world and ending up with my dream of living in the USA.

6. Why do you like working with Start-Ups?

The excitement of new ideas and fresh innovation in a small company has always interested me. I have enjoyed working for smaller companies where you get to do everything and it is possible to move fast and innovate quickly!
