4. How did you end up in the Energy Industry?

When I graduated from college, I was determined to pursue a career in the institutional investment business in Denver. A few years out of grad school, I landed an equity research job at Petrie Parkman, the leading boutique energy focused investment bank at the time. I tried to soak up as much knowledge as I could from Tom Petrie and all the other knowledgeable energy investment professionals on the team. After building such a solid foundation, one opportunity led to another and here I am.

5. Why do you like working with Start-Ups?

The opportunity to work with intelligent people who are passionate about developing solutions for solving problems. I've studied and analyzed numerous businesses and have had a chance to learn what works and what doesn't work. Having an opportunity to share this knowledge with start ups allows me to give back and help others overcome challenges.
