5. How did you end up in the Energy Industry?

After beginning graduate school with the intent of focusing on coastal zone management, two professors introduced me to the magic of geophysics and seismic interpretation. I accepted an internship with Anadarko to be an operations geologist and moved to Houston sight-unseen in late December 1999.  

6. Why do you like working with Start-Ups?

I enjoy working with individuals and organizations who challenge themselves and reimagine what is possible.

7. What are three of your interests outside of work?

  • Personal fitness--training for racing endurance sports events

  • Spending time with family, friends, and all the dogs

  • Reading a wide range of genres

8.  What are your top 3 accomplishments (personal or professional)?  Don’t be shy!  Give ‘em to us.

  • Completing dozens of endurance sports events including 3 Ironman triathlons, the Ironman 70.3 World Championships, and the Boston Marathon twice

  • Being resilient and agile enough to make it through the first 20 years of my career in the oil and gas industry, and taking advantage of the pandemic to earn an MBA as I pursue a career transition into the broader energy industry

  • Helping to raise two amazing kids

We had horses growing up, so probably a cowboy...or a professional "Big Wheel" racer
