5. How did you end up in the Energy Industry?

After working on turbomachinery engineering that was applicable to all the industrial segments I was recruited in FMC Technologies to lead Latin America. 

6. Why do you like working with Start-Ups?

Because that is where the newest technologies are being developed on an unbiased manner, focusing on how to solve the new problems of the world with a new approach rather than trying to use the same old methodologies and technologies to new challenges.

  • Developed the vision, long term strategy and technology road map to transform a product selling business unit into a successful solution, value added selling organization by developing a solution based on the pyramid of integration from the products and hardware up to the systems integration with the customers' global ERP systems.

  • Led the definition and implementation of corporate strategy to penetrate the North America shale production facilities market that resulted on the development from concept to commercialization , commissioning and start up of the first ever modular automated production facility reducing customer's CapEx by over 30%, field deployment and start up (faster first oil) by over 35% and reduction on furtive green house emissions from the production facilities in over 50%.

  • Developed the upstream D&C market in Latin America implementing new drilling time saving technologies and commercial models that resulted on opening of the Argentina and Brazil operation and strengthening of Mexico and Colombia creating hypergrowth of the business unit under my responsibility and establishing as the second-to-none leadership position in the market.
